Louie the Warrior

I was following along in another ZBrush tutorial, but ended up going in my own direction as far as the design. So this only looks like the tutorial work in composition and positioning. It was originally going to be Ursus in the armor, but I haven't learned how to do convincing hair in ZBrush yet, so I named this guy after the would-be title of a Rush song, better known as Tom Sawyer. Don't know why, just seemed to fit.

I learned a lot this go round. I didn't think that ZBrush was going to be very effective with low poly modeling - boy was I wrong! This is way more intuitive and easy to understand than 3D Max or Maya! A lot of that has to do I think with the way the tools function more like photoshop than a 3d program. Not that it can stand alone as far as animation goes, I still need 3d max for that, but modeling and texturing I think will be done in ZBrush from now on.
